New Mexico Lobos Play 12 Straight, Finish 2008 Earliest

The New Mexico Lobos will be the first FBS team to finish their 2008 regular season. The Lobos play their last regular season game on November 15 at the Colorado State Rams. They are the only FBS team to complete their regular season that weekend.
New Mexico has no off weeks on their 2008 schedule. They will have played twelve straight games after their season finale at Colorado State. And with a current record of 4-5, the Lobos are unlikely to play in a postseason bowl game.
