Minnesota and Syracuse Schedule Home-and-Home Football Series

The Minnesota Golden Gophers and Syracuse Orange have agreed to a home-and-home football series beginning in 2009. The game will be played at Syracuse on September 5, 2009 and at Minnesota on September 22, 2012.
The game completes the Minnesota Golden Gophers 2009 football schedule. The Syracuse Orange 2009 football schedule has not been officially released yet.
Minnesota and Syracuse have only met twice in football. The series is tied at one game each, with Minnesota winning 35-33 in 1996 and Syracuse winning 27-17 in 1995.
