The Oklahoma Sooners and BYU Cougars will meet at the new Dallas Cowboys Stadium in Arlington on September 5, 2009, the schools announced Wednesday. It will be the first ever college football game played in the new stadium.

According to news reports, the game is part of a 5-year deal signed between the Dallas Cowboys and ESPN. The deal will set up a college football game at the stadium every year on Labor Day weekend.

The Sooners, who have not yet released their schedule, will also play non-conference games against Tulsa and at Miami (FL). BYU’s other 2009 non-conference games include Florida State, Utah State and at Tulane.
