LSU and West Virginia sign Home-and-home Football Series agreement

By Kevin Kelley -

In October 2008, we posted that LSU and West Virginia had verbally agreed to schedule a home-and-home football series for 2010 and 2011. Yesterday the agreement was announced as official. The game will be played at Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge on September 25, 2010 and at Mountaineer Field in Morgantown on September 24, 2011.

The two-game series will be the first matchups ever between the Tigers of the SEC and Mountaineers of the Big East.

In 2008, LSU finished 7-5 with a 38-3 win over Georgia Tech in the Chick-fil-A Bowl. West Virginia finished 9-4 with a win over North Carolina in the Meineke Car Care Bowl.

Wow, I wonder who forced LSU to schedule this game? It breaks their two year run of scheduling pathetic non-conference games.

Don’t worry…now that Pat White is gone, WVU will return to mediocrity.
