The Michigan State Spartans have added two power conference teams to their future football schedules, the school announced Monday. Michigan State has signed home-and-home agreements with the Alabama Crimson Tide of the SEC and the West Virginia Mountaineers of the Big East.

Michigan State will play at Alabama in 2016 and will host the Crimson Tide in 2017. The 2016 game will be the first meeting between the two schools.

The Spartans will play at West Virginia in 2014 and will host the Mountaineers in 2015. Michigan State holds a 4-0 series lead over West Virginia, but the two teams haven’t played each other since 1942.
