The Rutgers Scarlet Knights have added two power conference teams to their future football schedules, the school announced last week. Rutgers has added the Miami Hurricanes of the ACC and the Penn State Nittany Lions of the Big Ten.
Rutgers and Penn State will play at Rutgers Stadium in 2014 and at Happy Valley in 2015. The Nittany Lions lead the all-time series 22-2.
The Scarlet Knights have also reached a preliminary agreement to host Miami in 2018 and play at Dolphins Stadium in 2019. The Hurricanes hold a 11-0 record against the Scarlet Knights.
Rutgers also announced a three-game series with the Tulane Green Wave of Conference USA. The Scarlet Knights will host the Green Wave in 2010 and 2014 and will travel to New Orleans in 2012. Rutgers and Tulane have met four times, and the Scarlet Knights hold a 3-1 series lead.
