Syracuse Orange to play Notre Dame and USC at Meadowlands Stadium

SyracuseThe Syracuse Orange will host three football games at the new Meadowlands Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, Syracuse.com reports. Syracuse will play the USC Trojans in 2012 and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish in 2015 and 2017.

The USC game was previously scheduled for September 8, 2012 at the Carrier Dome. No word yet on whether that date will change.

The Notre Dame games are part of a new four game series between the two schools. Syracuse will play two games at South Bend, Indiana, but those dates haven’t been announced yet.

All three of the games at Meadowlands Stadium will be considered home games for the Syracuse Orange.

Update (08/19/2009; 11:15 a.m.):

Syracuse and USC will face off at Meadowlands Stadium on September 8, 2012. Syracuse and Notre Dame will meet on September 27, 2014 and September 3, 2016. In addition, the Orange will play at Notre Dame on November 21, 2015 and October 7, 2017.
