The Auburn Tigers have completed their 2011 non-conference football schedule, DecaturDaily.com has reported. The Tigers will open the 2011 season at home on September 3 against the Utah State Aggies.
The 2011 matchup between Auburn and Utah State will be the first ever meeting of the two schools.
Auburn will also host the Samford Bulldogs at Jordan-Hare Stadium on November 5, 2011. Samford has never beaten Auburn, going 0-25-1 against the Tigers.
The Tigers’ complete 2011 non-conference football schedule now includes Utah State (Sept. 3), at Clemson (Sept. 17), Florida Atlantic (Sept. 24) and Samford (Nov. 5).
In 2012, the Tigers will host the McNeese State Cowboys on November 3, 2011. They will also travel to face Kansas State on September 20, 2014. This is the final game of a home-and-home series that began at Auburn in 2007.
