Alabama Crimson Tide release 2011 Football Schedule

AlabamaThe Alabama Crimson Tide have released their 2011 football schedule, the school announced today.

Alabama will open the 2011 season at Bryant-Deny Stadium in Tuscaloosa against the Kent State Golden Flashes on September 3, 2011. The following week, the Tide travel to State College, PA to face the Penn State Nittany Lions.

The final two non-conference games for the Crimson Tide are both at home against North Texas on September 17 and Georgia Southern on November 19.

In the SEC, Alabama hosts Arkansas, Vanderbilt, Tennessee and LSU. The Tide will travel to Florida, Ole Miss, Mississippi State and Auburn.

  • 10/01 - at Florida

    Saban must be a pastry chef….cause look at the cupcakes on this schedule…Kent State,N. Texas and Georgia Southern….yeech!

      well, that makes 5 difficult games for a 12 game schedule…

      I’d like to see BSU or TCU win those 5 games in a single season.

    its the sec it not the pac 10 with sorry washington stae or wash or ucla or the big ten with minnesta and purdue so you should have at least one big nonconfrence game the rest should just be weak

    After the schedule Bama endured in 2010, this schedule looks alot better. No other university even came close to playing schools with 2 weeks to prepare for them, plus carrying the National Champ target, plus the Heisman target Ingram carried and still finish 10-3 in the SEC…a year people shortchange, including the BCS.

    I really wish that Bama would renew their rivarly with Notre Dame. Throw in a team like Miami (FL) and that’d be a fun schedule! Replace those cupcakes with the likes of Air Force and East Carolina and we would have a respectable schdule
