The Michigan State Spartans of the Big Ten and the Miami Hurricanes of the ACC have agreed to begin a home-and-home football series, MSU Athletics Director Mark Hollis announced on Wednesday.
The series will begin on Saturday, September 26, 2020 when Michigan State hosts Miami at Spartan Stadium in East Lansing. On September 18, 2021, the Hurricanes will host the Spartans in the series finale at Sun Life Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida.
Miami and Michigan State have met four times overall with the Hurricanes winning each game. In their last matchup in 1989 in East Lansing, Miami won 26-20.
For both schools, these are the first non-conference games scheduled for 2020 and 2021.
