The Illinois Fighting Illini have announced their 2012 football schedule, which features games against Arizona State, Michigan, Northwestern, Ohio State, Penn State and Wisconsin.
Illinois opens the 2012 season at home against Western Michigan (09/01) and then travels to face Arizona State (09/08). The Fighting Illini then return home for three straight home games: Charleston Southern (09/15), Louisiana Tech (09/22) and Penn State (09/29).
Trips to Wisconsin (10/06) and Michigan (10/13) highlight the road schedule before an off week. Illinois then hosts Indiana (10/27), plays at Ohio State (11/03), hosts Minnesota (11/10) and Purdue (11/17) and closes the season at Northwestern (11/24).
The 2012 Big Ten Championship Game will be held on Saturday, December 1, 2012 at a site to be determined.
