Mississippi State announces 2011 football schedule

The Mississippi State Bulldogs have announced their 2011 football schedule, which features games against Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, Georgia, Ole Miss and South Carolina.

The Bulldogs will open the 2011 season at Memphis on September 3. Their other non-conference games include Louisiana Tech (09/24) and UT Martin (11/05) at home and at UAB (10/08).

Mississippi State opens the SEC portion of their schedule on September 10 at Auburn. Five days later, the Bulldogs will host the LSU Tigers on a Thursday night game that will be televised by ESPN at 6:30 p.m. CT.

Other SEC home games include South Carolina (10/15), Alabama (11/12) and the Egg Bowl against Ole Miss (11/26). The remaining SEC road games for MSU include Georgia (10/01), Kentucky (10/29) and Arkansas (11/19).

The SEC Championship Game will be held on Saturday, December 3, 2011 at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta.
