Oregon adds Arkansas State to 2012 Football Schedule

Arkansas StateOregonThe Oregon Ducks have added the Arkansas State Red Wolves to their 2012 football schedule, ASU has announced.

Oregon will host Arkansas State at Autzen Stadium in Eugene on September 1, 2012. The game will be the season opener for both schools as well as their first ever meeting.

The Ducks need one more game to complete the non-conference portion of their 2012 schedule. They also host Montana State, an FCS school, on September 15.

Arkansas State, a member of the Sun Belt Conference, hosts the Memphis Tigers the week after playing at Oregon. The Red Wolves need two more non-conference games for 2012.

Oregon will pay Arkansas State $950,000 for the game, and the Red Wolves will also receive a guaranteed ESPN or ESPN2 national television game during the 2011 season.
