The California Golden Bears will open the 2012 football season at home against the Nevada Wolf Pack, RGJ.com has reported.

The game, which will be played on September 1, 2012, will be the first at Cal’s newly renovated Memorial Stadium. The Golden Bears will play their 2011 home games at AT&T Park in San Francisco.

California leads the all-time series against Nevada 22-2-1. The Wolf Pack beat the Golden Bears 52-31 last season in Reno.

Cal has one other non-conference game scheduled in 2012, a September 15 visit to Ohio State. After playing at Cal, Nevada will travel to face the Washington Huskies on September 8.
