Georgia Tech announces 2011 football schedule

The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets have announced their 2011 football schedule, which features games against Georgia, Kansas, Clemson, Miami (FL), North Carolina and Virginia Tech.

Tech opens the 2011 season with a Thursday night (09/01) non-conference game against the Western Carolina Catamounts at Bobby Dodd Stadium in Atlanta. The Jackets also host the Kansas Jayhawks on September 17 and travel to Middle Tennessee on September 24.

Georgia Tech will host in-state non-conference foe Georgia on November 26 in the 104th edition of “Clean Old Fashioned Hate.”

Tech’s ACC slate begins on September 24 at home against North Carolina. After that, the Yellow Jackets’ schedule includes at NC State (10/01), Maryland (10/08), at Virginia (10/15), at Miami (10/22), Clemson (10/29), Virginia Tech (Thu. 11/10) and at Duke (11/19).

The ACC Championship Game will be held on Saturday, December 3, 2011 at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina.
