The Marshall Thundering Herd have announced their 2011 football schedule, which features games against Louisville, Virginia Tech, West Virginia, East Carolina, Houston and UCF.
Marshall’s 2011 schedule includes three tough non-conference games, beginning with a road trip to Morgantown on September 3 to face the West Virginia Mountaineers. After a September 17 game at Ohio, the Thundering Herd host Virginia Tech on September 24 and travel to Louisville on October 1.
Marshall opens Conference USA play on September 10 at home against the Southern Miss Golden Eagles. The rest of their C-USA home slate includes Rice (10/15), UAB (10/29) and East Carolina (11/26).
The Thundering Herd will travel to play conference foes UCF (10/08), Houston (10/22), Tulsa (11/12) and Memphis (11/19).
The Conference USA Championship Game will be held on Saturday, December 3, 2011 and will be hosted by the team with the highest winning percentage in conference play.
