Northern Illinois Huskies announce 2011 Football Schedule

Northern IllinoisThe Northern Illinois Huskies have released their 2011 football schedule, which includes games against Army, Kansas, Wisconsin, Buffalo, Central Michigan and Toledo.

NIU will open the 2011 season against the Army Black Knights at home on September 3, followed by a road game at Kansas on September 10. The Huskies will conclude the non-conference portion of their schedule with games against Wisconsin on September 17 at Soldier Field in Chicago and at home vs. Cal Poly on September 24.

The Huskies open 2011 MAC play on October 1 at Central Michigan. The remainder of their conference schedule is Kent State (10/08), Western Michigan (10/15), at Buffalo (10/22), at Toledo (Tues. 11/01), at Bowling Green (Tue. 11/08), Ball State (Tue. 11/15) and Eastern Michigan (Fri. 11/25).

The 2011 MAC Championship Game will be played on Friday, December 2 at Ford Field in Detroit, Michigan (8:00 p.m. ET – ESPN2).
