Pittsburgh Panthers announce 2011 Football Schedule

PittThe Pittsburgh Panthers have announced their 2011 football schedule, which features games against Iowa, Notre Dame, Utah, Cincinnati, Rutgers and West Virginia.

Pitt will open the 2011 season with back-to-back home games against Buffalo (9/3) and Maine (9/10). The Panthers will then travel to Iowa City to take on Iowa at Kinnick Stadium (09/17). Pitt returns home to face Notre Dame on September 24 and closes out their non-conference schedule on October 15 at home against the Utah Utes.

The Panthers begin Big East play at home against USF on Thursday, October 29, followed by a road game at Rutgers on October 8. The Panthers host Connecticut (Wed. 10/26) and Cincinnati (11/5) in back-to-back weeks.

Pitt will then have back-to-back road games at Louisville (11/12) and the Backyard Brawl at West Virginia (11/25). The Panthers will close the 2011 season hosting Syracuse on December 3.
