Miami (OH) extends Home-and-home Football Series with Cincinnati & Marshall

The Miami (OH) RedHawks have extended their home-and-home football series with both Cincinnati and Marshall. The games are now listed on Miami’s official website.

The RedHawks will host the Cincinnati Bearcats at Yager Stadium in Oxford on September 16, 2017. Miami will then travel to face Cincinnati at Nippert Stadium on September 15, 2018.

Miami and Cincinnati square off this season on October 1 in Oxford. The RedHawks lead the overall series 59-49-7, but have lost five straight. The two schools have played every season since 1945.

Miami will travel to face the Marshall Thundering Herd at Joan C. Edwards Stadium in Huntington, West Virginia on September 2, 2017. The RedHawks will then host Marshall in Oxford on September 1, 2018.

The two schools were already slated to play a home-and-home series in 2013 and 2014. The 2013 game is at Marshall (08/31) while the 2014 game is at Miami (08/30).

The RedHawks and Thundering Herd have played a total of 41 times. Miami leads the series 30-10-1, but has lost six of the last seven meetings.
