Texas Longhorns announce 2011 Football Schedule

The Texas Longhorns have announced their 2011 football schedule, which includes games against BYU, UCLA, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Texas A&M and Texas Tech.

Texas opens the 2011 season with three consecutive non-conference games. The Longhorns host Rice on September 3 and BYU on September 10 and then travel to UCLA on September 17.

After an open date on September 24, Texas opens conference play at Iowa State. The remainder of their Big 12 schedule is, in order, Oklahoma (at Dallas, TX), Oklahoma State, at Baylor, Kansas, Texas Tech, at Missouri, Kansas State and at Texas A&M.

Longhorns go 7-5, maybe 8-4. Definite loses are OU, Ok St., and A&M. Hmmmmm 300 million from ESPN for 8-4? Enjoy your wins over powerhouses like Rice and UCLA Longhorn faithful. Can’t blame the O Coordinator this year.
