TCU announces 2012 Big East Opponents and Locations

By Kevin Kelley -

The 2012 football season will be the first for the TCU Horned Frogs in the Big East conference. Yesterday at the Big East media days, TCU athletics director Chris Del Conte announced their 2012 Big East opponents and locations.

The addition of TCU will give the Big East nine members in 2012. Each school will play each other, continuing the true round-robin conference schedule. The only change for the current members is a reduction in non-conference games from five to four.

TCU’s 2012 football schedule also features non-conference games against Grambling State (Sept. 8), Virginia (Sept. 22), at SMU (Sept. 29) and home vs. Oklahoma (date TBA).

The Carrier Dome is going to be rocking for TCU’s first ever appearance in Syracuse! Can’t wait for this game!

TCU doesn’t need 1 more game to fill out their schedule. You failed to take into consideration the game on September 8 against Grambling State. The schedule should be Sept 8- Grambling State, Sept 22- Virginia, Sept 29- at SMU, and additional games against Oklahoma, Cincinnati, Louisville, USF, West Virginia, at UConn, at Pittsburgh, at Rutgers, and at Syracuse.

Can’t wait for the Big East Challenge – these games won’t be easy for TCU, but the Big East will get a taste of our speed. Also should help recruiting on both sides …

Go FROGS!

With Pitt n cuse leaving for ACC, TCU u need to rally n try to get ACC to pick you guys up for 15 or 16 team!

Can someone help, I’m confused. The Big 12 conference is claiming TCU as a new member yet I see where the Big East conference has TCU scheduled in Big East for 2012.

Oh yes, another issue with Big 12 members. You say W VA is in your conference. Not so fast, last I’ve heard they are yet very much a member of the Big East. Hmm guess you K St fans can only hope. Better keep on scheduling W VA on YOUR schedule!

Lol don’t you feel dumb now? Bug 12 way better then small east!! Lol suckers got left behind. They should of merged with MeV, now they can’t cause c-USA is doing that. Won’t be long till they lose there AQ.
