2011 Featured College Football Games – Week 1 Schedule

The 2011 college football season is here! A full slate of teams are in action, including AP Top 5 teams Oklahoma, Alabama, Oregon, LSU and Boise State.

ESPN Gameday will broadcast live from Arlington, Texas, the site of the game between the LSU Tigers of the SEC and the Oregon Ducks of the new Pac-12.

Listed below are the games with TV, times and ticket options:

Friday, September 2, 2011

  • (14) TCU at Baylor – ESPN (HD); 8:00 p.m. ET
    The Horned Frogs hold a one-game lead in the series, 50-49-7.

Saturday, September 3, 2011

  • Northwestern at Boston College – ESPNU; 12:00 p.m. ET
    In their last meeting in 1993, Northwestern won 22-21 in Evanston.
  • Kent State at (2) Alabama – SEC Network/ESPN GP/ESPN3; 12:21 p.m. ET
    This will be the first meeting between the two schools.
  • Minnesota at (25) USC – ABC/ESPN2 & ESPN3; 3:30 p.m. ET
    USC is ineligible to play for the Pac-12 title this year.
  • USF at (16) Notre Dame – NBC (HD); 3:30 p.m. ET
    This will be the first meeting between the two schools.
  • Illinois vs. Northwestern (25) – ESPNU; 3:30 p.m. ET
    The game will be played at Wrigley Field in Chicago, IL.
  • BYU at Ole Miss – ESPN (HD) & ESPN3; 4:45 p.m. ET
    The Cougars will play their first game as an Independent.
  • East Carolina vs. (12) South Carolina – FSN (HD)/ESPNGP & ESPN3; 7:00 p.m. ET
    The game will be played at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, NC.
  • (5) Boise State vs. (19) Georgia – ESPN (HD) & ESPN3; 8:00 p.m. ET
    Essentially a home game for the Dawgs at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta.
  • (4) LSU at (3) Oregon – ABC (HD); 8:00 p.m. ET
    The game will be played at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, TX.
  • Tulsa at (1) Oklahoma – FX (HD); 8:00 p.m. ET
    The #1 Sooners are 16-7-1 all-time against the Golden Hurricane.
  • Colorado at Hawaii – ESPN2 (HD) & ESPN3; 10:15 p.m. ET
    The Buffaloes are playing their first game as members of the Pac-12.
