SEC to release 2012 Football Schedule on Wednesday

By Kevin Kelley -

SECThe SEC will officially release the 2012 football schedule on Wednesday, the conference announced today.

The 2012 schedule will feature two new additions to the schedule, Missouri and Texas A&M. Both schools will leave the Big 12 and officially join the SEC on July 1, 2012.

Last week, Chris Low of ESPN released a few tibits concerning the 2012 SEC schedule. Both of the new schools, Missouri and Texas A&M, will open SEC play at home on Sept. 8 with some high profile opponents. Missouri will host Georgia while Texas A&M will host Florida.

Another 2012 schedule change may be the location of the Arkansas-Texas A&M game. The two schools have been playing their non-conference matchup at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington. But A&M moving to the SEC and financial issues may return the game to their respective campuses.

The 2012 SEC football schedule will be released at 10:00 a.m. ET on SECDigitalNetwork.com. FBSchedules.com will update our schedules at that time.
