Miami Hurricanes announce 2012 football schedule

The Miami Hurricanes have announced their 2012 football schedule, which features games against Kansas State, Notre Dame, Florida State, Georgia Tech and Virginia Tech.

Miami opens the 2012 season on Sept. 1 with an ACC game at Boston College. The Hurricanes then step out of conference play and make a trip to face Kansas State on Sept. 8 before returning home to host Bethune-Cookman on Sept. 15.

The Canes return to ACC action on Sept. 22 when they travel to Atlanta to face Georgia Tech. After a Sept. 29 home game vs. NC State, Miami heads to Chicago to take on the Notre Dame Fighting Irish at Soldier Field on Oct. 6.

Miami returns home on Oct. 13 to host North Carolina followed by Florida State on Oct. 20. Virginia Tech visits on Thurs., Nov. 1 for a prime-time game on ESPN.

Miami then travels to face Virginia on Nov. 10 before hosting USF at Sun Life Stadium on Nov. 17. The Hurricanes complete the 2012 regular season on Nov. 24 with a road trip at Duke.

The 2012 ACC Championship Game will be played on Saturday, Dec. 1 at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, NC.
