Oklahoma Sooners announce 2012 Big 12 football schedule

The Oklahoma Sooners have announced their 2012 football schedule, which features games against Kansas State, Oklahoma State, TCU, Texas and West Virginia.

The Sooners open the 2012 Big 12 season at home on Sept. 22 against the Kansas State Wildcats. OU then travels to Texas Tech on Oct. 6 before facing the Texas Longhorns on Oct. 13 at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas.

The Sooners then host Kansas on Oct. 20 before traveling to Ames to play Iowa State on Nov. 3. After Baylor visits Norman on Nov. 10, the Sooners hit the road to face new Big 12 member West Virginia on Nov. 17.

OU closes out their 2012 schedule with “Bedlam” against Oklahoma State on Nov. 24 and a road game at new Big 12 foe TCU on Dec. 1.

The Sooners currently need two non-conference games to complete their 2012 football schedule. Their only known game to date is a home contest against Notre Dame on Oct. 27. Reports have indicated that Oklahoma could open the season against the UTEP Miners.

Guess I am just wondering why its Oklahoma and Oklahoma State that still don’t have their schedules done yet? Even TCU and West Virginia have theirs done.
