Texas A&M to host Sam Houston State in 2012

Texas A&M AggiesThe Texas A&M Aggies will host Sam Houston State in 2012, the Bearkats announced today.

Sam Houston State fills the last spot on Texas A&M’s 2012 football schedule. The Aggies will host the Bearkats at Kyle Field on Nov. 17, 2012.

Texas A&M leads the all-time series against Sam Houston State 10-0. The two schools last met in 1997 which resulted in a 59-6 win for the Aggies.

In other non-conference games, TAMU plays at Louisiana Tech (Aug. 30; at Shreveport), at SMU (Sept. 15) and hosts South Carolina State (Sept. 22).

The Aggies still haven’t officially announced their completed 2012 football schedule because the location of the Arkansas game on Sept. 29 has yet to be determined. It will either be played at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington or in College Station.

    The Aggies will have to post a 7-5 record to be bowl eligible.

    First yr in the sec and already playing a soft as melted butter o.o.c schedule – got to fit in with their new confrence brothers i guess !
