2012 WAC football schedules announced

WACThe 2012 WAC football schedules were announced today. Conference play begins on Saturday, Sept. 29 when UTSA travels to face New Mexico State.

For the 2012 season, the WAC welcomes new members Texas State and UTSA. Fresno State, Hawaii and Nevada are no longer members as they have joined the Mountain West Conference.

Some of the prominent non-conference games include Idaho at LSU, Texas A&M vs. Louisiana Tech (at Shreveport, LA), New Mexico State at Auburn, San Jose State at Stanford, Texas Tech at Texas State, Utah State at Wisconsin and UTSA at Rice.

One game involving a WAC team has already been set for national TV. Utah at Utah State will be televised by ESPN2 on Friday, Sept. 7 at 6:00 p.m. MT.

Well they are still playing two unknown schools. I guess they have to have two guaranteed wins. (like McMurry in 2012). A good example of moving into the FBS , but not really.

TXST has a much tougher schedule… Then again, they are a much better team than utsa

Over all I think Idaho has the hardest schedule in the WAC with nonconf games at LSU, North Carolina, and BYU. that is pretty daunting. To be honest Idaho will crush Texas State and UTSA.
