Missouri TigersThe Missouri Tigers have announced their 2012 football schedule, which includes games against Syracuse, Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Tennessee and Texas A&M.

The 2012 season will be the first for Missouri in the Southeastern Conference. The Tigers, who were accepted into the SEC on Nov. 6, have competed in the Big 12 since its inception in 1996.

Missouri opens the 2012 season at home on Sept. 1 against Southeastern Louisiana. The following week, Mizzou welcomes the Georgia Bulldogs to Columbia for their first ever SEC game (Sept. 8).

On Sept. 15, Missouri steps out of conference to host the Arizona State Sun Devils. The game is the second in a home-and-home series that began in 2011.

The Tigers then travel to face South Carolina on Sept. 22 in their first SEC road game, followed by a trip to Orlando to face UCF in a non-conference game on Sept. 29. Missouri and UCF signed a home-and-home agreement that has the Knights visiting Columbia on Sept. 13, 2014.

Missouri then hosts three straight SEC games against Vanderbilt on Oct. 6, Alabama on Oct. 13 and, after an open date, Kentucky on Oct. 27 (Homecoming).

Trips to Florida (Nov. 3) and Tennessee (Nov. 10) loom late in the season before their final non-conference game of the season on Nov. 17 at Faurot Field against the Syracuse Orange. Missouri’s final regular season game is Nov. 24 at former Big 12 member Texas A&M.

The 2012 SEC Championship Game will be played on Saturday, Dec. 1 at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta.
