Oregon & Michigan State schedule 2014-15 Home-and-home Football Series

By Kevin Kelley -

The Oregon Ducks and Michigan State Spartans have scheduled a home-and-home football series for 2014 and 2015, The Register Guard has reported.

Oregon will host Michigan State at Autzen Stadium on Sept. 13, 2014. The Ducks will then travel to face Michigan State at Spartan Stadium in East Lansing on Sept. 12, 2015.

The Ducks and Spartans have met four times in their history. The series is tied a two games each after the schools split a pair of home-and-home series’ in 1979-80 and 1998-99.

Oregon replaces West Virginia on Michigan State’s 2014 and 2015 football schedules. The Mountaineers, who join the Big 12 this season, have opted out of their two-game contract with MSU “to create more flexibility” in their scheduling.

Michigan State’s other non-conference games in 2014 include Jacksonville State and Eastern Michigan. In 2015, MSU hosts Central Michigan and travels to Western Michigan.

The Spartans are the second non-conference game scheduled for Oregon in both 2014 and 2015. The Ducks are slated to host Wyoming in 2014 and return the trip the following year.

The Register Guard also reported today that Oregon will host Idaho in 2013, a game that was previously unannounced.

Great news re: the matchup, but yowza – 2014 and especially 2015 (Alabama, Oregon and Notre Dame) look like BRUTAL schedules right now.

LOL GO TIM! Oregon is over-rated. Anyone with half a brain knows that. What can anyone who is not a fan or bandwagoner tell me other than their flashy uniforms? HUH? Nothing, because they suck.

props to Michigan State, they have a tough schedule and not afriad to toake on Boise St or oregon.

Last year Oregon got ambushed in the ‘neutral’ game vs LSU. cowboy staduium is a relatively short drive for the tiger fans and then the refs were southerners…. Ducks didn’t have a chance.

If you knew anything about U of O, you’d know that they have the most disrespectful fans rated 3 years in a row and you would also know that they are the worst traveling fans in all of college football.

@Anon – So, just what all knowing group labeled the Oregon fans “the most disrespectful” and based on what criteria? By the way, what team do you support?

Who ever Anonymous is…is very awesome! (GO DUCKS) (Tim, who is your favorite team then?)

Oregon could have played people kansas state, miami(FL) and New- Mexico. But now they play teams such as Ark. State, and Fresno State, and an I-AA team (Tenn. Tech). (they also would have played Montana- State, an I-AA team.) I really don’t get how scheduling non-conference games work.

Oregon’s way of scheduling non-conference games is crap. Eventually they will play teams like Idaho, Tennesse, and Nevada.

Yeah Kansas St. backed out, as well as Geaorgia as well as many other teams that are scared for a home and home with the ducks

Alot of teams like Kansas State pulls out to not play against Oregon. Oregon had Kansas State on the schedule for this year and have to be replaced by 1-AA teams.
