Baylor games vs. SMU and at ULM moved for TV Broadcasts

Baylor BearsTwo Baylor football games have been moved to accommodate television broadcasts, the school announced this afternoon.

Baylor’s season-opener at home against the SMU Mustangs, originally scheduled for Sept. 1, has been moved to Sunday, Sept, 2. The game will be televised by FSN at 5:30 p.m. CT.

SMU leads the overall series against Baylor 36-35-7, but the Bears have won nine straight. In their last meeting in 2005, Baylor defeated SMU 28-23 in Dallas.

Baylor will also travel to face ULM for the first time ever on Friday, Sept. 21 (7 p.m. CT, ESPN or ESPN2). The game was initially set for Saturday, Sept. 22.

The Warhawks are slated to visit Waco on August 31, 2013 which concludes the home-and-home series that was signed back in 2010.

“We welcome opportunities to play on television and are pleased with the visibility and opportunity for Baylor Nation to watch our games,” head coach Art Briles said. “The 2012 team is ready to take the field and represent Baylor University.”

If ULM hadn’t already snuck up on Arkansas and almost done the same to Auburn, you might be right. I’ll be there with my ULM gear on pulling for the Warhawks but it will be a tough one.
