Kansas State to host UMass, completes 2013 Non-conference Football Schedule

Kansas State WildcatsIn a letter to K-State Nation, athletics director John Currie announced that the Wildcats have completed their 2013 non-conference football schedule.

Kansas State will open the 2013 season at home against the North Dakota State Bison on Aug. 31. K-State will also host Louisiana’s Ragin’ Cajuns and the UMass Minutemen. Dates for those games will be announced at a later date.

The Wildcats will also host five Big 12 games in 2013, which means that they will play eight games at Bill Snyder Family Football Stadium.

UMass, which begins play at the FBS level in 2012 as a member of the Mid-American Conference, also has a home game scheduled against Vanderbilt in 2013.

Gazettenet.com reports that the Minutemen are expected to announce several more future non-conference opponents soon, a list which could include Colorado, Florida, Notre Dame, and Wisconsin.
