The Bowling Green Falcons have added future home-and-home football series against Louisiana Tech and Texas State. The Falcons have also made several other additions and changes to their future schedules which have been posted to their official website.

Bowling Green and Louisiana Tech will begin their two-game series at Joe Aillet Stadium in Ruston, LA on Sept. 22, 2018. The Falcons will then host the Bulldogs at Doyt Perry Stadium in Bowling Green, OH on Sept. 14, 2019.

Louisiana Tech leads the series against Bowling Green 2-0. The Bulldogs beat the Falcons 28-21 in Bowling Green in 1995 and 30-23 in Ruston in 1997.

Bowling Green has also scheduled a home-and-home series against Texas State beginning on Sept. 19, 2015 at Doyt Perry Stadium. The series will conclude on Sept. 24, 2016 at Bobcat Stadium in San Marcos. The two schools have never met on the football field.

In addition to the Louisiana Tech and Texas State games, Bowling Green has also made the following future schedule additions and changes:

  • Bowling Green will open the 2013 season at home vs. Tulsa on Thursday, Aug. 29. The game was previously set for Saturday, Aug. 31.
  • The Falcons have moved a home game against Maryland from Sept. 10, 2016 to Sept. 8, 2018. They have also moved their road contest at Maryland from Sept. 8, 2018 to Aug. 31, 2019.
  • BGSU has moved a road game at Indiana up one week from Sept. 16 to Sept. 9, 2017.
  • The Falcons have moved a home contest against Middle Tennessee up two years from Sept. 15, 2018 to Sept. 17, 2016.

Bowling Green’s future non-conference football schedules are tentatively complete in 2013, 2014 and 2016. The Falcons need one game in 2015 and two games in 2017, 2018 and 2019.

It should also be noted that Texas State, who now plays at BGSU on Sept. 19, 2015, was previously set to host Navy on the same day. The Texas State-Navy game may have been canceled due to the Midshipmen joining the Big East that year.
