The Bowling Green Falcons have added a future home-and-home football series against South Alabama and removed a series with Texas State, according to an announcement today.

Bowling Green and South Alabama will begin their two-game series at Doyt Perry Stadium in Ohio on Sept. 11, 2021. The Falcons will then travel to face the Jaguars at Ladd-Peebles Stadium in Mobile on Sept. 3, 2022.

The 2021 game will be the first meeting between the two schools. However, they could square off anytime in the GoDaddy.com Bowl, which is currently home to the postseason’s only MAC vs. Sun Belt match-up.

Although not specifically mentioned in the release, Bowling Green and Texas State appear to have canceled their future home-and-home series. The Falcons were scheduled to host the Bobcats on Sept. 19, 2015 and travel to San Marcos on Sept. 24, 2016.

Bowling Green’s future non-conference football schedules are tentatively complete in 2013 and 2014. The Falcons need one game in 2016 and two games in 2015, 2017, 2018 and 2019.
