Kansas State and Notre Dame are now in the Top 5 of both the AP Poll and USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll. The Alabama Crimson Tide are the unanimous number one for the second straight week.

Kansas State (6-0) has risen to 3rd in the Coaches Poll and 4th in the AP Poll. Last week, the Wildcats were 5th in the AP and 6th in the Coaches.

After their controversial overtime win over Stanford, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish (6-0) are now ranked 5th in both polls. That’s a two spot improvement over last week in both rankings.

Losses by South Carolina (23-21 to #9 LSU) and West Virginia (49-14 to unranked Texas Tech) dropped both teams out of the Top 5. The Gamecocks are now ranked 9th in the AP Poll and 8th in the Coaches Poll, while the Mountaineers are ranked 17th and 15th, respectively.

The new AP Top 5 is now Alabama, Oregon, Florida, Kansas State and Notre Dame. The Coaches Top 5 is Alabama, Oregon, Kansas State, Florida and Notre Dame. The full polls are listed below.
