2012 Big Ten Football Championship Game – Nebraska vs. Wisconsin

By Kevin Kelley -

The 2012 Big Ten Football Championship Game is set with the Nebraska Cornhuskers facing the Wisconsin Badgers. The game will be held on Saturday, Dec. 1 at 8 p.m. ET at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana (FOX).

Nebraska (10-2, 7-1 B1G) clinched the Legends Division title and a spot in the championship game with a 13-7 win over Iowa on Friday. It’s their first division title as a member of the conference since they joined in 2011.

Wisconsin (7-5, 4-4 B1G) is making their second consecutive appearance in the championship game as winners of the Leaders Division. But the Badgers didn’t have the first or second-best record. That distinction belongs to Ohio State (12-0, 8-0) and Penn State (8-4, 6-2). However, both schools are ineligible to play in the title game, thus paving the way for Wisconsin.

The Cornhuskers lead the overall series between the two schools 4-3, which includes a 30-27 win over the Badgers earlier this season.
