Memphis Tigers announce Future Non-Conference Football Opponents

Memphis TigersThe Memphis Tigers have announced their future non-conference football opponents, which features a new home-and-home series vs. UCLA.

Memphis will travel to face UCLA at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena on Sept. 6, 2014. The Bruins will return the game by playing at Liberty Bowl Memorial Stadium on Sept. 16, 2017. The 2014 game will be the first ever meeting between the two schools.

In 2013, Memphis will host Duke (Sept. 7), Arkansas State (Sept. 21), and UT Martin (Nov. 9), and will travel to face Middle Tennessee (Sept. 14). The game against UTM finalized their 2013 slate.

Memphis opens the 2014 season at home vs. Austin Peay (Aug. 30), travels to UCLA (Sept. 6), hosts Middle Tennessee (Sept. 20), and then visits Ole Miss (Sept. 27).

The 2015 season kicks off with a home game against Missouri (Sept. 5) before trips to Kansas (Sept. 12) and Bowling Green (Sept. 19). Ole Miss then visits the Liberty Bowl on Oct. 17.

Memphis will face the same schedule in 2016 as they do in 2015, but the sites will be flipped. The Tigers travel to Missouri (Sept. 3) and Ole Miss (Sept. 10) and then host Kansas (Sept. 17) and Bowling Green (Sept. 24).

Three home games are on the slate for the 2017 season against major conference teams. UCLA visits on Sept. 16, followed by Tennessee on Sept. 23 and Ole Miss on Sept. 30. The Tigers need one more non-conference game to complete their 2017 schedule.

Memphis is currently a member of Conference USA, but joins the Big East Conference on July 1, 2013.

    Agreed….now all the Tigers need is a team that can compete with these fine schedules. And kudos to UCLA for going on the road once again…

    Memphis tigers are horrible lol. but maybe they will surprise some people someday. whatever happened to tommy west?

    how horrible are they now sitting at 7 – 3 and probably going to be AAC champs with a 9 – 3 record ???

    You don’t have to be to good to win a game in the sorry AAC. it’s has to be one if not the weakest conferences in the nation.
