The BBVA Compass & GoDaddy.com bowls really need to get relegated to a mid-December date. I prefer more high-profile bowl matchups leading up to the national championship.

Putting 5 out of 6 college bowl games on cable steals all the enjoyment from those of us who cannot afford cable. I remember big family get-togethers with lot’s of food, fun, and football when I was a kid growing up.

But apparently that is just another lost memory of a past time as well.

Since you do have internet, don’t you have ESPN3.Com, for live streaming of the video?

I agree, those days are long gone. ESPN started in Bristol, CT and over the past two decades took over the NCAA bowl games and for a fee you can have the privilege of watching the games. Back then, the games were more competitive and a better quality in my opinion. Less bowl games leads to less bowling teams leads to a better quality bowl game that had more meaning then the bowl games of today and even since the BCS came into play. I miss those old days when families gathered in front of the TV to watch one of I do believe it was 17 or 18 total bowl games. Most were good unlike today.
