The ULM Warhawks and the Wake Forest Demon Deacons have scheduled a 2013-14 home-and-home football series, both schools announced today.

ULM will travel to face Wake Forest at BB&T Field in Winston-Salem, North Carolina on Sept. 14, 2013. The Demon Deacons will then return the game to Malone Stadium in Monroe, Louisiana on Aug. 30, 2014.

The addition of the 2013 game, which will be the first ever meeting between the two schools, completes the non-conference schedule for both ULM and Wake Forest.

ULM opens the season on the road at Oklahoma on Aug. 31 before returning home to host Grambling State on Sept. 7. After traveling to Wake Forest, the Warhawks travel to Baylor on Sept. 21 and then host Tulane on Sept. 28.

In Sun Belt Conference play, ULM is set to host Arkansas State, Georgia State, and Western Kentucky and travel to South Alabama, Texas State, Troy, and UL Lafayette.

Wake Forest will open the 2013 season at home against Presbyterian on either Thursday, Aug. 29 or Saturday, Aug. 31. After hosting ULM on Sept. 14, the Deacons travel to Army on Sept. 21 and then close the regular-season at Vanderbilt on Nov. 30.

ACC games for Wake Forest in 2013 include home games vs. Florida State, Maryland, NC State, and Duke and road trips to Boston College, Clemson, Syracuse, and Miami.

Syracuse and Western Kentucky will probably both add an FCS school since they do not have one already, and UL Lafayette is talking to New Mexico St since they have an open date when Idaho dropped their second game with them to pickup Texas St. Idaho and especially New Mexico St are trying to help out the Sunbelt teams as much as possible to hopefully warrant an invite down the road.

The list is just four, but three have games lined up. Western Kentucky looks odd man out. Old Dominion might need a game on 10/12 (if Syracuse takes the 9/28 slot) as North Carolina game will likely move to 11/23.

Syracuse
// rumored to be hosting Old Dominion
Louisiana Lafayette
// rumored to be hosting NMSU 11/2 (return game possible in 2014)
New Mexico State (2 games)
// rumored to be at ULL on 11/2, hosting Abilene Christian 10/26
Western Kentucky

stuart, where did you get syracuse might be hosting odu on 9/28?ive heard we might be playing them but no date was known

guessing. Only two dates open for ODU 9/28 and 10/12 after North Carolina game moves to 11/23 — ODU and/or Syracuse booked on all other weekends
