2014 NCFAA Preseason Watch List Schedule

The 2014 college football season is just under two months away, and now it’s time for the preseason watch lists to roll out.

The National College Football Awards Association (NCFAA) began its annual preseason watch list release this morning with the Bednarik Award and the Maxwell Award.

Below is the schedule of NCFAA watch list releases. You can see who has been named to each list here.

Monday, July 7
Bednarik Award, presented to the college defensive player of the year by the Maxwell Football Club.
Maxwell Award, presented to the college player of the year by the Maxwell Football Club.

Tuesday, July 8
Mackey Award, presented to the nation’s most outstanding tight end by Friends of John Mackey.
Rimington Trophy, presented to the nation’s premier center by the Boomer Esiason Foundation.

Wednesday, July 9
Lou Groza Award, presented to the nation’s top place-kicker by the Palm Beach County Sports Commission.
Ray Guy Award, presented to the college punter of the year by the Augusta (Ga.) Sports Council.

Thursday, July 10
Bronko Nagurski Trophy, presented to the nation’s most outstanding defensive player by the Charlotte Touchdown Club.
Outland Trophy, presented to the nation’s most outstanding interior lineman by the Football Writers Association of America.

Friday, July 11
Jim Thorpe Award, presented to the nation’s best defensive back by the Jim Thorpe Association.

Monday, July 14
Butkus Award, presented to the nation’s best linebacker by the Butkus Foundation.
Rotary Lombardi Award, presented to the college lineman of the year by the Rotary Club of Houston.

Tuesday, July 15
Biletnikoff Award, presented to the nation’s outstanding college receiver by the Tallahassee Quarterback Club Foundation.

Wednesday, July 16
Davey O’Brien Award, presented to the nation’s best quarterback by the Davey O’Brien Foundation.

Thursday, July 17
Doak Walker Award, presented to the nation’s premier running back by the PwC SMU Athletic Forum.

Friday, July 18
Walter Camp Award, presented to the nation’s most outstanding player by the Walter Camp Football Foundation.
