Texas being ranked is pretty silly. But, preseason polls are all about name recognition and what you did last season. TCU would be my surprise team – someone not ranked who I think will be in the top 20 by the end. They play 10 games inside the state of Texas and finally get 5 Big 12 home games.

1) I think it’s hilarous that Stanford can keep beating Oregon and UCLA, yet they are always picked behind those teams in the preseason. Just proves that fans like glitz and glamor over all else.

2) North Carolina again ranked. Let’s see how many games they’ll lose again this season. They can’t even beat Georgia Tech.

3) Texas is ranked 24th. Proof that preseason rankings are all about sales and generating interest among the mass fan bases.

4) Ole Miss ranked 19th? What a joke.

Texas A&M being rank is a joke!!! No QB, No Defense. I don’t care whose the coach. Too much SEC favoritism

Notre Dame on there? What a joke! Florida getting votes? They went 4-8 and lost to GSU.
Y’all better watch out for Georgia Tech though. Justin Thomas the new QB is the real deal.

Two things: Florida got some votes but didn’t get into the Top25 and they didn’t lose to GSU last year – they lost to Georgia Southern…those are two different schools.

Well the thing to remember is, my friends, is that the claim is that it’s not based on the past season or seasons (which more often than not is absolute bull) and of course power conference teams will be shown favoritism whether it’s deserving or not. Plus preseason rankings is all guess work for the most part, look at last season preseason rankings compared to final. Notice anything? So don’t put too much stock in it for a lot of things “WILL” change throughout the course of the season. One thing before I rap this up, Texas A&M #20? Really? They have way too many questions to answer before I’d put them in any possible top 25 list, not saying they don’t have a chance to cause some problems for some big teams in the SEC but honestly though this is just proof of SEC favoritism. Lets see how the season plays out before you guys kneel for your SEC Lords of Football!

I can not believe that UNC was listed in top 25.They will start fast and fade faster than a setting sun.Must be UNC logo ‘s familiarity got them a few votes. No it is all the Amway distributors who attended UNC -Ch

Nebraska AND North Carolina in front of UW!!!???? I’m a life long Tar Heels fan and UW fan but come on, really?

Why us Miami not in the conversation for TOP 25? WE ARE A “TOP 15” TEAM AND WILL SHOW IT THIS YEAR IF WE GET OUR QUARTERBACK SITUATION STRAIGHT!!! IF I WAS GOLDEN I WOULD START “BRAD KAAYA” FROM GAME ONE. HE WILL SHOW THAT HE IS THE STARTING QUARTERBACK. RYAN WILLIAMS IS INCONSISTENT. AND DUKE JOHNSON #8 WILL BE A HEISMAN TOP 3 CANDIDATE. WATCH!!!!
