The Mississippi State Bulldogs and the NC State Wolfpack have scheduled a home-and-home football series for 2020 and 2021, both schools announced today.
In the first game of the series on Sept. 12, 2020, Mississippi State will travel to face NC State at Carter-Finley Stadium in Raleigh. The Wolfpack will then return the trip to Davis Wade Stadium at Scott Field in Starkville on Sept. 11, 2021.
Mississippi State and NC State have squared off five times overall, but haven’t met since the Peach Bowl in 1995. The Wolfpack lead the series 3-2.
The Bulldogs now have power five non-conference opponents set for each season from 2020 through 2023, but still need to find one for 2016 through 2019.
Last month, Mississippi State announced a home-and-home series with Arizona for 2022 and 2023.
Mississippi State is the first announced non-conference opponent for NC State for both the 2020 and 2021 seasons. The Wolfpack, slated to play at Notre Dame in 2017, need a power five opponent for 2018 and 2019 and 2022 and beyond.
