The Tennessee Volunteers have added the Georgia State Panthers to their 2019 football schedule, GSU officially announced this afternoon.

Tennessee will host Georgia State at Neyland Stadium in Knoxville on Sept. 7, 2019. Georgia State will reportedly receive a $950,000 guarantee for the game.

The 2019 contest will be the second overall meeting between the two schools. In their first meeting in Knoxville in 2012, Tennessee rolled over Georgia State 51-13.

The matchup is the first announced non-conference game for both Tennessee and Georgia State in 2019.

Based on the current SEC scheduling rotation, Tennessee will host Georgia, South Carolina, Vanderbilt, and Mississippi State and travel to Florida, Kentucky, Missouri, and Alabama in 2019.
