why did Idaho ever get an invite to this conference? they add nothing, are an expensive plane ride away to play in a cavernous air plane hanger in front of a paltry crowd of just a few thousand. they lose 8-11 games with regularity. Their basketball team this years averages 900 fans per home game-less than any decent high school.

Remember they’re a football-only team in the Sun Belt. They’re in the Big sky for all other sports

Dennis Dodd is saying 2015 is Idaho’s last year in FBS.

It looks like the Vandals don’t have the votes to stay in the Belt (need 7 of the 9 permanent FB members) because it doesn’t make sense to anybody in the Belt. Rob Spear went around pleading for the Big Sky to move up schools two weeks ago, but nobody was biting – I think he knew he needed some company to stay in FBS. So expect Spear to jump in front of the parade and announce they are moving to the Big Sky for Football before they can be dumped next January/February.

So you may get your wish.
