Ball State, Georgia State Schedule 2015 & 2016 Football Series

By Kevin Kelley -

The Ball State Cardinals and the Georgia State Panthers have scheduled a home-and-home football series for the 2015 and 2016 seasons, both schools announced today.

Ball State will host the first game of the series at Scheumann Stadium in Muncie, Indiana on Oct. 17, 2015. The Cardinals will then travel to face the Panthers at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta on either Thursday, Sept. 1 or Friday, Sept. 2, 2016.

The 2015 contest will be the first ever meeting between the two schools on the gridiron.

The addition of this series completes the non-conference schedule for both Ball State and Georgia State in 2015.

Ball State is scheduled to open the 2015 season at home on Thursday, Sept. 3 against VMI before traveling to Texas A&M on Sept. 12 and Northwestern on Sept. 26.

In MAC play, Ball State will host Central Michigan, Toledo, UMass, and Bowling Green and will travel to NIU, Western Michigan, Eastern Michigan, and Ohio.

Georgia State is slated to open 2015 at home on either Thursday, Sept. 3 or Friday, Sept. 4 against the Charlotte 49ers. The Panthers also visit Oregon on Sept. 19 and host Liberty on Oct. 3.

Sun Belt opponents for Georgia State in 2015 include Appalachian State, South Alabama, Troy, and UL Lafayette at home and Arkansas State, Georgia Southern, New Mexico State, and Texas State on the road.

Good to see Ball St and Georgia St were able to hook up in 2015.

Was beginning to think both would end up playing two FCS games, as North Carolina and Boston College chose to do. Weak scheduling for a couple ACC “P5” programs.

Happy to see Ball St and Georgia St were able to hook up in 2015. Georgia St was on the hook with UAB chopping football.
