2016 AAC Football Schedule Announced

The 2016 AAC Football Schedule has officially been announced. Conference play begins on Saturday, Sept. 10 with UConn at Navy.

“I am pleased to announce our 2016 football schedule, as we seek to build upon our incredibly successful 2015 season,” said Commissioner Mike Aresco. “Our schools continue to schedule outstanding nonconference games against the best teams in the nation, which will enhance our conference’s national profile and will prepare our teams well for what will be another exciting race for our conference championship.”

Featured 2016 non-conference match-ups for The American include BYU at Cincinnati, Virginia at UConn, East Carolina at Virginia Tech, Oklahoma vs. Houston (at NRG Stadium), Memphis at Ole Miss, Notre Dame vs. Navy (at Jacksonville, FL), SMU at Baylor, Temple at Penn State, Tulane at Wake Forest, Tulsa at Ohio State, UCF at Michigan, and Florida State at USF.

The 2016 American Athletic Conference Football Championship Game is set for Saturday, Dec. 3 at the home stadium of either the East or West Division winner.

    Last weekend should be USF-UCF, Houston-SMU, Tulsa-Tulane, Temple-UConn, Memphis-Cincinnati, and East Carolina-Navy to help foster rivalries.
