Big Ten Early Season 2016 Football TV Schedule Set

The Big Ten early season 2016 football TV schedule has been set, and it features over 30 games slated for broadcast.

The schedule kicks off on Thursday, Sept. 1 with Indiana at FIU at 7:30pm ET on ESPNU. That game is followed by Oregon State at Minnesota at 9:00pm ET on the Big Ten Network.

Over the first three Saturday’s of the 2016 season, there are 15 non-conference games slated for broadcast on BTN.

Listed below are the early season Big Ten games that have been selected for television as of June 13 (some were previously announced). All remaining Big Ten controlled games will be announced six-to-12 days prior to the date of the game.

The Big Ten controlled games that are TBA, are those left up to the schools themselves? Seems strange that there are still B1G home games on this list with TBA for kickoff times.

That somewhat balances out over 3 years (though Iowa lucks out with PSU as their semi-permanent crossover).

I’m surprised to see Oregon St vs Minnesota on BTN. You would think that game would be on ESPN or ABC.

While it’s a P5 OOC game, OSU is coming off a 2-10 season and it looks like they value South Carolina @ Vandy more than this one.

Yeah, I don’t understand either why South Carolina @ Vanderbilt would be on ESPN instead of Oregon State @ Minnesota that night.

Hawaii’s game @ 7AM their time!! that’s another 10 points in UM’s favor….
