2016-17 Bowl Schedule Announcements

The 2016-17 bowl schedule is set to be announced today, including the College Football Playoff and New Year’s Six games.

Below we will live blog the games and pairings as they are announced. For the complete list of games, check out our Bowl Schedule.


10:30am (Eastern)
Good morning, football fans! Here’s what we know so far:
Navy – 
Armed Forces Bowl
BYU – Poinsettia Bowl
Bahamas Bowl – Eastern Michigan vs. Old Dominion

The Bowling Green (Ky.) Daily News reports that the Boca Raton Bowl will likely match Western Kentucky and Memphis.  The report is a mixture of comments from WKU AD Todd Stewart and the requisite “source close to the program”.

Add these to the list:
Las Vegas Bowl – Houston vs. San Diego State
Poinsettia Bowl – BYU vs. Wyoming

While we’re waiting for this ridiculous ESPN show to unfold, here’s more:
Idaho – Famous Idaho Potato Bowl
St. Petersburg Bowl – Miami, OH vs. Mississippi State

Your CFP semifinals:
Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl – (1) Alabama vs. (4) Washington
PlayStation Fiesta Bowl – (2) Clemson vs. (3) Ohio State

Since ESPN keeps saying it, let’s note it here:
Penn State – Rose Bowl Game

Not surprisingly, the Peach Bowl will be a 3:00 kick, with the Fiesta getting rolling at 7:00.  Also, we can call the Rose Bowl:

      Yes Idaho goes down to the FCS, but that means that they can an official NCAA Football championship without a trickery CFP-Comittee, sponsored by ESPN, which help Ohio State info a CFP-Championship Game.

    This site has South Alabama in the Arizona Bowl. Also, I do not know if you want to wait until it is “official” but Oklahoma is in the Sugar, Western Michigan is in the Cotton. Michigan is in the Orange.

    Oddsmakers have the semifinal game times posted. Peach Bowl at 3:00 EST and Fiesta Bowl at 7:00 EST.

    Every time i get a blues feeling, i look at the 2016 CFP decision, and then i get happy. Ohio State in a good joke!
