2017 Sun Belt football schedule announced

The 2017 Sun Belt Conference Football Schedule has been announced. Conference play begins on Saturday, Sept. 16.

For the 2017 season, the Sun Belt Conference welcomes new member Coastal Carolina. Next season, Idaho and New Mexico State depart the conference.

Featured 2017 non-conference match-ups for the Sun Belt include Appalachian State at Georgia, Miami (FL) at Arkansas State, Coastal Carolina at Arkansas, Georgia Southern at Auburn, Georgia State at Penn State, Idaho at Missouri, UL Lafayette at Ole Miss, New Mexico State at Arizona State, Oklahoma State at South Alabama, Texas State at Colorado, Troy at LSU, and ULM at Florida State.

No “rivalry week” this year…wonder if they’re waiting until next year to implement it with the title game

I wonder what will happen if Idaho has another big year and wins another bowl game….could be interesting. The fact many Sun Belt schools are already scheduling New Mexico State for non-league games in a little telling that there were some who didn’t these schools kicked out.
