2017 Preseason AP Poll released; Alabama No. 1

The 2017 Preseason AP Poll has been released and the Alabama Crimson Tide are ranked first. Alabama received 52 first place votes and 1,513 total points.

Alabama is also ranked first in the Amway Coaches Poll that was released on August 4.

Ohio State comes in at number two in the AP Poll. The Buckeyes received three first place votes and 1,414 points overall. Florida State, USC, and Clemson round out the preseason AP Top 5.

The SEC leads all conferences with six teams in the AP Top 25 poll. The ACC and Big 12 are second with five teams, followed by the Big Ten and Pac-12 with four and The American with one.
