2017 Preseason Coaches Poll released; Alabama No. 1

The 2017 Preseason Coaches Poll has been released and the Alabama Crimson Tide top the rankings for the second consecutive season. Alabama received 49 first place votes and 1,603 total points.

Ohio State comes in at number two. The Buckeyes received five first-place votes and 1,512 points overall. Florida State follows in third place with four first-place votes and 1,434 points.

Clemson, which is fifth behind USC, received seven first-place votes.

The SEC leads all conferences with six teams in the Top 25 poll, including one in the Top 10. The ACC and Big 12 are second with five teams, followed by the Big Ten, Pac-12, and The American. Listed below is the full conference breakdown:

I agree, no reason Auburn should not win 10 or more games this year. Alabama, The Ohio State, Oklahoma, USC, FSU, Clemson, Michigan & Georgia should all win 10 or more games, good luck!
Poor Notre Dame, may be one day they will bounce back.

I saw NMSU got shafted and I cant figure out why either. I also think they should have included FIU and Mass.

Mass is a clear favorite for a National Championship!

4 of 25 from Fla, 3 playing each other maybe determining ACC and SEC Championships. FSU placed pretty high with 5 “Puffs” and 6 questionable final scores.

My Vols are 24th in the Coaches Poll and fall in at 23rd in the Roby Ratings ( an unbiased system that always just sticks to the numbers, which mainly take into account the number of returning starters and the previous season’s victory differential).
